Kerry McVey is a Licensed Acupuncturist and Massage Therapist, and a Diplomat of Acupuncture through NCCAOM. She earned her Masters of Science Degree in Acupuncture at Pacific College of Oriental Medicine, her Associates Degree in Applied Sciences at the Swedish Institute of Health Sciences, and her Bachelors of Arts Degree in Hispanic and Latin American Literature and Culture from New York University.

Kerry’s education at the Swedish Institute introduced her to both the Eastern and Western schools of medicine and trained her to see physical ailments from multiple perspectives. She gravitated towards the Eastern philosophy, which looks at the body as a whole - encompassing mind, body and spirit as one. This passion for holistic healing led her to pursue her Masters Degree in Acupuncture at Pacific College of Oriental Medicine.

There, Kerry began the rigorous Classical Acupuncture program, which involved over 3,000 hours of coursework and clinical experience. She learned the discipline of combining Western and Eastern medical theory and also began to cultivate her ability to successfully diagnose and treat a vast number of health conditions. With keen observation skills and careful listening, Kerry has been able to achieve great results in improving the well-being of her patients, both in the school’s clinic and in private practice.

Kerry’s practice utilizes a combination of acupuncture, Chinese medicine, and bodywork. She also provides counseling on lifestyle and nutrition so that her patients can make informed choices in their daily lives. Kerry partners with her patients in order to help them achieve their individual health goals.
